This three-year Living Farm led project will deliver field trial supported agronomic protocols for profitable pulse production (lentil, field pea, chickpea) across multiple rainfall zones in Western Australia’s Geraldton, Kwinana East and Kwinana West port zones.
The program will generate region-specific recommendations for establishment, herbicide timing, disease management and rotational nitrogen benefits. The program will equip growers and advisors with practical guidelines to confidently expand pulse area and capture rotational benefits in following cereal crops through a coordinated three-year, multi-site agronomy research and extension program.
