Research Agronomist

• Do you hold a tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Horticulture, Science, or similar?
• Have strong communication skills, love working outside, have a high level of attention to detail?
• Have an understanding of scientific principles and their application to field based research?

If you’re the kind of person that likes variety in their working life, then this may be the position for you. No two days are the same, and you’ll be challenged to blend science, logistics, agronomy, and mechanics and people skills to help deliver outstanding field research to our client base of crop protection companies, plant breeding companies, research institutions, grower groups and farmers.

In this diverse role you will learn:

  • Trial design and trial implementation of broadacre crops.
  • Data analysis reporting of the trial programs including grain, pulse and oilseed cropping and pasture trials.

Agricultural Field Technicians

• Successful, local agricultural research business

If you’re the kind of person that enjoys variety in their working life, then this may be the position for you. Our Field Technicians are an integral part of our experienced team and work in our trial programs, your responsibilities would include:

  • Operating tractors, small plot seeders, ute booms, small plot harvesters and other associated agricultural machinery,
  • Crop maintenance tasks in paddock trials including field preparation, seeding, maintenance and harvesting, the safe application of fertilisers/chemicals and other associated tasks,
  • Playing a role in the maintenance of machinery when necessary.

Casual Work

Living Farm require a casual workforce to achieve their annual R&D Program. Roles include grain management, including seed packing, seed treating, seed analysis, seeding ground support, harvest ground support.
